Pets for Health and Healing

Our Mission

Some of our pets

P4HH also known as Pets for Health and Healing is a tax-deductible nonprofit organization that provides Pets and Services for the following:

  • To provide pets to persons with special needs, disabilities, and /or at-risk behaviors.
  • To provide opportunities for persons to engage in pet activities that normally would not have the opportunity to do so.
  • To sponsor, host, and/or participate in events and activities that promote health and healing through positive pet interactions and in some cases through pet ownership.

About Us

P4HH was established in Cottonwood, CA in 2021 by Angi Thomas. Angi over the years has seen firsthand many people suffering and lonely. Wanting to help people she started providing pets for comfort. Angi was surprised how healing it was to people lives by simply allowing a person to hold or spend time with a pet. Some people enjoyed the company of dogs, some enjoyed the company of a horse, some even a chicken or a goat. Just spending the time, even a short time, provided great comfort to many. Whether they suffered from a medical condition, physical condition, drug addiction, or even loneliness the positive results in most cases were all the same. So, this is why Angi started this Nonprofit that charges nothing, but the rewards are endless. Angi occasionally has even provided animals at no cost to others that wished to have a lifelong companion. All of this is only made possible by an incredible support of those who understand the power of such a companion.
